RR04

I found this reading not as interesting as the last section. However, it did have a lot of good information.  In chapter 7, one thing that I found very interesting was the dispute over how the new versions of the British Telecom phonebooths would be designed.  I think their new design is very boring and could have done a better job reflecting the previous design of the photobooth.  Another thing from this chapter that I thought was interesting was that the software company Olivetti hired so many distinguished designers and let them have creative freedom.  I think one of the most important things when designing software is uniformity which is one thing Olivetti lacked.  In chapter 8 I really liked reading about the subway systems.  They talked about so many things that were incorporated into the systems that I had never really thought of before like, the colors used to identify each train line and the different signage used to make things more clear.
