J02

This is a Longanerger basket I found in my house.  I found this basket pattern very interesting because of its longer pieces.  I also like the contrast of the green band in the center with the natural wood of the basket.

This is the tile on my kitchen floor.  I thought that it was a perfect pattern to show for this assignment, even though it may not be the most creative.

This pattern was one of my favorites I came upon this week. The flower pattern in the middle really stood out to me.  This is a wood carving from Lithuania.  It is hanging in the hallway of my house.

This is a caned chair that was my great grandmothers.  It is in my grandparents house and I think the intricate design is very cool.  I always have looked at it as a part of the chair but I think it stands out very well on its own.

This is a sweater pattern on a pair of boots my friend was wearing this week.  I was trying to find interesting patterns that I could photograph.  In my opinion this looks very cool when you get very close to it.

This is the kitchen table at my house.  Normally when you think of wood there is not a consistent pattern.  When I started to take a closer look at the table I notice a couple small sections of the table.  In my opinion this is a natural pattern.

Bricks are a pretty typical pattern.  These are the bricks on the hearth of my fireplace.  Even thought it is not really part of the pattern, the worn out look of the bricks is what drew me to photograph this pattern.

This is a bag I found at a store in Worthington.  I really love the pattern on it.  I also like all of the colors together.  I think the swirl patten gives it a lot of visual interest as well.

This is a roll of paper towels.  I think this is an interesting place to find a pattern. You would not normally think of a paper towel roll when you think of a pattern.  I chose this because it is an unusual place to find a pattern.

This pattern is my favorite one that I found.  Finding this pattern on something not man made makes it a lot more interesting.  I was instantly drawn to this when I saw it.
